Pilates Program (Individual and Group Sessions)
Diploma Of Contemporary Pilates And Teaching Methodology
Australian Pilates Method Association - Level 4 Accreditation
Pilates is a unique method of body conditioning that integrates muscle control, breathing, flexibility, strength and body awareness. It incorporates modern theories of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation. Rather than being seperate entities, the main principles of correct breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement and stabilisation, work together to create INTELLIGENT EXERCISE that is both safe and effective. The entire system of exercise creates an opportunity for every participant to experience greater awareness of muscle function, control and flexibility. Pilates promotes physical harmony and balance for people of all ages and fitness levels, from beginners to professional athletes.
The Pilates program initially starts with two to five individual sessions to enable the practitioner to gain a complete understanding of individual movement patterns and identify any biomechanical concerns. After these sessions, you can either continue with individual pilates sessions or, to make it more cost effective, engage in a group class. Group sessions contain a maximum of three people so that individual attention is maintained.
We provide individually tailored attention to movement patterns, both on the mat and on various pilates equipment, where breath control and body movements are continually monitored to ensure precision and accuracy to achieve maximum results. Movement patterns can change from week to week, therefore general programs are not administered, instead, the practitoner will assess on a weekly basis what is required.
All Pilates classes are by appointment only. Pilates classes are offered on Monday thru to Thursday. The preferred method of booking an individual assessment is on the online booking system on the home page of website. Please feel free to email Lisa at email@example.com if you have any further enquiries.

Massage is the intentional and systematic manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to enhance health and good, functional movement. Massage provides many health benefits to those who partake. These benefits include a very positive effect on circulation, lymphatic/immune systems, muscular and nervous systems, pain perception, moods, anxiety and respiratory problems. There are many different techniques and can also be used in conjunction, very successfully, with other modalities such as osteopathy, chiro and physio.
At Total Concept we utilise various techniques to achieve positive effects and correct short term and long term dysfunction in the body. The sessions can range from gentle and relaxing to more deep tissue work, depending on the requirement of the individual. Each client is guided through a patient history form to specify past and current injuries and we will work closely with the client to gauge and continually re-evaluate needs to deal with specific issues utilising various techniques.
The following massage techniques are used:
Swedish massage, a general and relaxing massage helping to de-stress and relax and to provide health and vitality.
Remedial massage incorporates a range of techniques to release pain and improve muscle dysfunction. Some of these techniques are trigger pointing, mobilisation, stretch and musculoskeletal release techniques.
Sports massage, involving deep tissue, stretching, exercise management and advise.
Manual lymphatic drainage, a system that is advantageous for chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia sufferers and also general effects on the immune system.
Emmett technique which is a sequence of muscle activation points used to unlock muscle memory. The activation gives the brain the opportunity to set up a new state of homeostasis (balance) and provides an opportunity for re-alignment of the body, very similar to Bowen Technique/Accupressure. More information on this technique can be found at www.rossemmett.com.au
Reflexology, pressure applied to specific spots on the feet stimulates corresponding areas in other parts of the body.
All Massage sessions are by appointment only. Massage sessions are offered Monday to Thursday. The preferred method of bookiing is the online booking system accessed on the home page. Any queries email Lisa on firstname.lastname@example.org
