Muscles do far more than allow us to pick things up. Our muscles allow us to stand, move and even breathe. When our muscle function is compromised, this affects the function of the whole body, from range and ease of movement through to nerve and blood supply. This can cause pain, stiffness, digestive problems, headaches, a lowered immune system, mental stress and many other problems.

 

At Total Concept Pilates & Remedial Massage we believe in a holistic and proactive approach to health, wellbeing and fitness. The combination of Pilates, Stretching, Exercise Advice and Remedial Massage, provides those who participate a full understanding of their body and adaptation to a proactive, not reactive, means of restoring the proper function of the whole body.

 

Through the mix of these various modalities, stretching, strengthening, breathing and slight changes to the way our body operates can correct both short term and long term muscle dysfunction. Once proper function has been restored there will be improved health and wellbeing, vitality, movement and energy, relief of pain, stiffness and soreness.

 

Through the combination of over 35 years of personal experience, 20 years of professional experience, and continual professional development, Total Concept can ensure increased enhancement to your body performance and wellbeing. Through personal guidance you can learn various techniques to self manage pain and to increase the integrity of your muscles. Putting you back in charge of your body!
